You have a PXT from 6421402460

You can text to your blog. Add pix, video and all sorts.

You've received either a PXT or video PXT. To view your PXT simply open the attached files, each item will be attached separately. For example, if you have received a PXT containing a picture and a text message you will have two files attached.

If your message is a PXT in most cases any media player should be able to open it. If you've received a video PXT (this will have the ending ".3gp"), or if you have received a sound or image file ending in .amr, .wbmp, .iMelody, or .gif you will need to install a special media player to play it.

In the case of .3gp, .amr or .gif files you can download QuickTime free of charge, which is compatible with both PC and Mac computers.

Visit PXT World to find out all about PXT and create awesome picture messages!

Brainstorming

This is a brainstorming session in Room 3, Onerahi Primary School.
The teacher is Yaron Overeem.
The session highlights the process of a brainstorm. Of particular interest is the digram at the start of the video.
This video was made by a year 6 child.

Comic Character animation in PowerPoint.

This animation was done at TechQuest with a group of 7 kids.
They all took one character each.
The kids used PowerPoint to draw comic character using the line tools.
Then they animated the characters slide by slide.
We converted these into AVI using windows media encoder (free)
Then edited them together and added narration using movie maker.

Good Luck Bad Luck Collaborative Writing

This is a great idea from Room 2 at Maungatapere School. Basically you write a story like this:

You are on the trip of a lifetime trekking over the African plains. As you emerge from a thicket you trip over a trunk of a baby elephant.

What bad luck- mumma elephant is thundering towards you screaming with rage.

What good luck it was a really old and stupid elephant and it trips over and breaks all of its legs.

What bad luck the huge big fat dada elephant farts and blows you far up into
the mountains.

What good luck you come flying back down the whole mountain and you fall down your own chimney and you land on your couch watching playhouse Disney and you think your knocked out but it’s actually ashes and now your home!

Each time you finish a god luck or bad luck you swap with another group. They carry on with the oppisite luck.

Here are some photos of room 2 in actions:
